I have used a Sony Clie for many years and like its convienience. I prefer a stand alone PDA and not one as part of a cell phone.
Still, they are available online and that's more than enough memory for whatever you might want to do. The display is sharp, clear, well lit and therefore easy to read. well, there are a ton of apps out there and many are free. not all memory sticks will work with this unit. To have so much power in such a compact size makes it the perfect tool for carrying reading material when you are away from the comforts of home.
Any memory stick over 128MB is not compatible. Replacement batteries are also available here on Amazon.com if you should need one DekCell PDA Battery for Sony Clie PEG-SJ20, SJ22, SJ23, SJ30, SJ30/G, SJ30/GW. The 15 megabytes of available memory provide enough room for several translations, reference books and a very large address book. I bought the Clie SJ22 (uses Palm OS 4.1) so I could install a bible reader, bible translations and reference materials and read and study wherever I go. With the addition of a memory stick.
I highly recommend it.The only con that I can think of.
I don't know my strength. Provided that I do had a tendance to wham a stylus down on the touch screen really hard. I just hope this apple Itouch can with stand my "Super" strength for the next five years. The Palm lasted me only one year before the screen went totally black. Beware - Treat your sony clie and Palm like a porceline china. well what can I say, I'm a strong women.
;) And wont melt down before seven years are up. I had a sony clie and a Palm a while back and both didn't last me very long. The sony clie lasted me two years before it had a total melt down. So in result of of these two product malfunctioning at an early state, I stopped buy all sony and Palm PDA's.
This runs down the batteries, and- All memory is lost.I've taken to using the Palm calendar and directory in my laptop and not the PDA. I have had my unit for a few years, and I like it in many ways, but it has a bad habit of letting me down:- With the flip top, in my purse, the application/power switches can be depressed and it apparently powers on. pity.
And the price is right. I have lost all my info on more than one occasion because of not charging it. Nothing special, but it makes my life easier and it works great for what I need it for. So as long as you have a brain and have a computer to back your info up onto, this will work great for you. I have had this PDA for over 4 years now, and I have very little complaints. It is an older PDA, but I mostly use it for contacts, minor notekeeping, calender and date keeping and calculator. But it comes with great Sync software and everything gets put right back on it with one click of a button, so no big deal.
